Full- time Director of Senior Services and Transportation:
The Director is responsible for providing comprehensive and strategic planning, development, administrative decision making and implementation for the major program components of the Senior Services Division, which include: Senior Center Program; “Elder Alternative” Adult Day Services; Senior Wellness Program and The Transportation Department. This position is also responsible for the efficient and purposeful integration of services inter and intra agency, leadership and resource development. Requirements: Requires a Masters degree in Social Services, Human Services or related field and 3-5 years of progressive experience; or a Bachelors degree and 5-7 years of progressive experience and 2 years of leadership experience. Requires the ability to lead quality improvement initiatives; the ability to plan and manage the utilization of resources; effective written and verbal communication skills; strong customer service skills; the ability to take initiative and meet objectives and a high level of interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Job Developer
The John H. Boner Community Center: John H. Boner Community Center, in partnership with Local Initiative Support Corporation -- Indianapolis (LISC) and The Annie E. Casey Foundation, is implementing a Center for Working Families (CWF). The Center seeks to build, expand and bundle existing services to help working families move out of poverty. Bundled services include employment and workforce development, expanding income supports, and financial literacy coaching and training. An important aspect of the CWF is an effort to address the problems of unemployment and under-employment among our neighborhood residents. These efforts include (1) Identifying employment sectors and employers able to hire our neighborhood residents, and (2) Fine-tuning the employment pipeline to improve access, support, and retention. We seek a person with workforce development experience capable of interacting both with employers, service providers, and neighborhood residents. Requires Bachelors degree preferred; 2-3 years experience in employment training with responsibilities specific to business-to-business services and customer care, with an emphasis on employer outreach and service to disadvantaged populations; experience with community building, workforce development, and/or community resident services; General knowledge and understanding of the needs of a low-income working population, as well as knowledge of available community resources; demonstrated proficiency with PC computer software at an intermediate level, including the Microsoft Office suite. Employment Specialist

Community School Coordinator
The Community School Coordinator assist teachers, school staff, parents, community members, and students in improving student achievement. This entails working in concert with the building principal and a school-community team at a single IPS school; recruiting and coordinating the activities of individuals and organizations willing to offer programs and services at the school to meet the need of student, families, and community members and implementing strategies to strengthen these relationships. Requirements: Bachelor degree preferred; Five plus years experience brokering resources, services and recruitment of school partners to meet needs identified by the community ,IPS leadership, parents, teachers and students; knowledge of the near eastside neighborhoods; experience and ability in working with a diverse population; understanding of the concept of team as it relates to the operating philosophy of the community school; and ability to effectively manage a high volume of work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Licensed Registered Nurse. A full-time RN is needed to provide services to meet the health care needs of adult day center participants. Duties include preparing and administering participant medication; carry out prescribed treatments as appropriate for setting assuring personal care needs of participants are met. Accounting Clerk. A part-time accounting clerk is needed to perform accounting support to the John H. Boner Community Center while working under the immediate supervision of the Controller. Duties include: Data entry (MIP, excel); Process assigned journal entries; Process Xerox and Postage account readings (monthly); Process assigned vouchers; Perform monthly rent and salary reimbursement invoicing; Responsible for accurate receivable reporting; Maintain (create) filing system; Maintain equipment; Assist with maintaining voice mail system. Requires: high school diploma/GED, some college preferred; 2-3 years of accounting experience; strong in AR, AP and General Ledger; Proficient with Excel applications; Experience with MIP Fund Accounting (or equivalent accounting software package) preferred; Candidate should be detail oriented, with the ability to work with others and on own and have good organizational skills.
